Over the years Gareth and Anthony have participated in events to raise money for Charity. In the past, these Charity Challenges have been carried out the Velindre Centre and more recently for 2 Wish Upon A Star.

The Velindre Cancer Cente is a specialist treatment centre located in Cardiff, South East Wales. Each year they treat over 5,000 new referrals and around 50,000 outpatients. Their amazing hard working staff provide patients and families with the best possible care and treatment.

2 Wish Upon A Star2 Wish Upon A Star is an amazing charity and one that Anthony is especially grateful to. Following the death of his daughter, they were able to offer support when it mattered most.

Anthony: ” I find that participating in Charity challenges helps to focus my mind, its a worthwhile way of getting exercise and raising vital funds for some amazing charities. I can’t say enough about 2 Wish Upon A Star. I don’t think they realise how much their support helped in the darkest moments following Ffion’s death. “

We support 2 Wish Upon A Star through our Ffion’s Fundraisers group.

Challenge Us Dads:

We want everybody that visits the site to challenge themselves more frequently. We aren’t talking elite level here, we want people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

What is the concept?

Visitors submit their challenges. This can be anything. If you have never run before, we wouldn’t expect you to pick the marathon straight away, although that may be an end goal. Something like the couch to 5K challenge would probably be best suited in this circumstance but it may lead on to far greater things.

A suggested route of challenges would be: Run a 5k, Run a 10K, Run a Half Marathon, Run a Marathon, Run an ultra-marathon, take part in an Iron Man. That is the only indicator. Only you know what your challenges are and how realistic they are to you personally. We will try and help and will definitely encourage you every step of the way!

It doesn’t have to be a physical challenge, it can be to learn a new skill. Learn to Body Pop or do an unbelievable magic trick, impress your mates on the next big night out and share your experience with us.

We also want to hear about your ideas for:

  • Social media challenges
  • Technology related challenges.
  • Business-related challenges
  • Sport-Related challenges

Any challenge, this is family friendly community so please bare that in mind when submitting
